Get Involved with Central Valley IAF

Building democracy is a team sport.
We all have different roles, talents, and capacities—and those evolve throughout our lives.

Whether you're connected through a congregation, union, neighborhood group, or simply care about justice and civic renewal, there’s a place for you in this work.

🏛️ Institutional Leader

Are you part of a member institution? Institutional leaders participate in selective training opportunities and work closely with an organizer on internal development and collective strategy. These leaders help shape our nonpartisan issues agenda and guide the long-term focus of our organizing work.

🙋🏽‍♀️ Volunteer

Want to help with community actions, phone-banking, or voter turnout? Interested in attending public actions or learning the basics of organizing? We offer a range of opportunities for non-members to engage with our work throughout the year—no experience necessary, just a willingness to show up.

💸 Donor

Are you looking to support long-term, local civic leadership and power-building—not just momentary mobilization? Our work is funded primarily by individual donors and member institutions, which keeps us independent and accountable to the people we organize with. Your contribution helps train leaders, develop campaigns, and sustain grassroots democracy.
